If you come across any Mods that break the rules of the Positive Play Charter, you can report them to us. It’s possible that community created Mods could go against these guidelines. We strive to create a positive environment for players, which we outline in the Positive Play Charter. You should use Mods with caution and understand there may be risk. Maxis doesn’t pre-screen, endorse or specifically support any particular Mod. For that reason, we support a framework in The Sims 4 that makes it easier for you to install and use Mods. We know that, for many of you, Mods are an important part of your game experience. Maxis strives to support the creativity of our community.

Mods: A blanket term referring to any player-made content for the game-this includes both Custom Content and Game Mods.

For example: a new trait, new console cheats, objects with new functionally, new UI functionality, etc. These Mods may include script code, but not always.

Game Mods: These are Mods that add features or change functionality of the game.

For example: new hair, new clothing, new furniture, etc. Sometimes just referred to in The Sims community as “CC”.

Custom Content: This is the addition of player-made clothing or objects to the game.

If there isn't, remove the files until there's an update.Learn about the new disable Mods feature, the Maxis policy towards Mods and how to safely re-enable Mods. If there is, download it, and replace the original files. When a mod breaks then you will need to check where you got it from to see if there's a new version. Unlike the game itself, mods don't automatically update. Follow the instructions above to enable them again.
